Welcome!
At Duperon Learning Accra (Center), we value all children, teens, and adults alike. We know that everyone has their learning styles and paces. Our goal is to teach each person according to their skills and work with the challenges they face.
Our Story
Duperon Learning Center’s humble beginnings were inspired by Priscilla Dseagu’s vision, together with the joint dreams of Mr. Terry Duperon, Cindy and Dan Seitz, Prof. Joseph Ofori Dankwa, Bernard Agbloe and other wonderful people to create an environment that promotes the learning needs of individuals with autism/ intellectual and developmental disabilities and well as dyslexia, were they will be supported to reach their highest potential in life either through vocational training for people with IDD or educational remediation to support people with dyslexia and professional training.
The center was also established by Dr. Priscilla Dseagu and Mr Terry Duperon, to bring hope, at a time where families of are faced with the reality filled with questions on future that beholds their family members with IDD and other disabilities, in the absence of vocational/ job transitioning programs and dyslexia support. Making the future look dim, with no hope of a bright future for their wards as they grow older each day.
The Duperon Learning Center brings hope for a brighter future for learners with IDD as well as dyslexia as they are empowered with skills to meet the growing demands of life either in education, job employment and independent living.
We at the Duperon Learning Center continue to be a beacon of hope by applying evidence-based interventions in our vocational skills training, dyslexia support, professional training and advocacy to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all spears of their lives.
